When it comes to my morning routine it's all about hydration: I begin by washing my face with the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm (hear on in known as the Emma Hardie AFMCB) this not only feels amazing but leaves the skin feeling like you've given it everything it needs. Toner is a step I think a lot of people devalue but since picking it up I've noticed a real boost in my skins condition, the Michael Todd Blue Green Algea Toner is currently about to be repurchased for the 4th time! It does have that tingly feeling a lot of people don't like but it seems to be the only thing that keeps my blemish prone skin in it's place. Next up is my serum which is almost always Hydraluron especially in winter when the skin gets battered by the weather & heating, if it's not that than it's either the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo or AI depending on how naughty my skin is being. When it comes to my daily remedy for the death eaters chillaxing under my eyes the Ren Active 7 Radiant Eye Gel is bringing it, I only have a tiny sample size but it has lasted for literally months! A little really does go a long way, it blends like a dream & is wonderfully refreshing first thing. It's bigger brother is being already in a shopping bag just waiting to be snapped up! For moisturiser I'm surprisingly loving the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting offering which I was convinced I would be putting away for winter for something much richer however, for during the day under make up it's doing the trick of keep my skin hydrated & lets be honest it smells delicious!
Night time is where everything gets doubled, I picked the Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing oil up on a whim after being reading the word Brighten in it's name. To me my skin always looks dull & to have something that would help combat that was an instant plus for me, as well as allowing me to be lazy & use this to take my make up off as well. I've already got a review of this little guy up so I'll keep it simple, I use on dry skin to remove my make up & massage it in give my skin a good cleanse. Then I'll use the Superfacialist Tea Flower Purifying Cleansing Wash; can you tell I love Una Brennan yet? On days where I haven't warn make up I'll skip the oil & just use this followed by the Emma Hardie AFMCB. This is great at leaving the skin feeling super clean by not stripped & the only cleanser I trust with my Clarisonic to get it just right, once I've done that it's time to double tone. The Michael Todd toner gets busted out again, told you I love this stuff, my second toner is one I'm looking for a candidate for, I currently using the Avene Thermale Spring Water Spray just to stop the tingle of the Michael Todd toner & also to get the skin balance right (thanks to Into the gloss for that one!) At night I like to use an eye cream rather than my Ren Gel & Indeed Lab's Eysilix is where it's at for me at the moment. Rich enough to feel like it's doing good but without feeling heavy, needing no real effort at all to blend in it's ticking the all the boxes for me & since using it with the Ren I have noticed a distinct lightening in my under eyes. My serum is the much coveted Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair; the 2nd one, I've only been using this for a few months but I already love the way my skin looks the mornings after using this. I've heard people say you don't really notice the difference it makes until you stop using & it's for that reason I may never be without it. Finally I seal that all in I use the Garnier Ultra Lift moisturiser, I actually didn't mean to buy this & only got it because I thought it was something else; DOH! However, on the days where my skin is feeling especially thirsty I know this will get the job done, I always wake up with lovely plump hydrated feeling skin all with anti-ageing thrown in, what more could a girl want?
I've been doing this routine for a good few months now with only a 1 or 2 but my skin seems to be loving it, gone are the days when all I did was use a face wipe to take my make up off! *shudders at the thought* What are your skincare saviours?
