I apologise for no post yesterday and a very late one today but a crazy work life meant I barely had time to breath let alone blog but I'm back today with a good'un. I've decided to look at the other side of beauty as we all know the best way to look beautiful on the outside is to put the best things in our insides. So I'm bringing you a little ode to my latest love that's keeping my insides fresh, juicing!
I know it's a cliché but as 2013 ended I took a look at myself and what I had achieved and just knew I had to make some changes, I'd let my eating fall further down the list than it should and it was time to sort it out. Having heard a lot about juice cleanses but not wanting to spend that amount of money when I don't know 100% what goes into them I decided to pick up a juicer and do it myself. The juicer I have is this Cookswork juicer and despite the cheap price it works really well, so if you're looking for juicer without the price tag certainly give this one go. I have used it every day for the last two weeks and no one is more surprise than me just how much I love it!
I make my juice first thing in the morning and just throw in whatever I fancy; todays was apples, oranges, celery, spinach and grapes. I know it sound gross but as yet I haven't made a juice I've disliked. I often find that they fill me up so I don't really eat breakfast any more however, it's not like I'm missing out because I've got all the nutrients I need. Usually I have enough for at least two glasses if not three which has reduced my snacking drastically, before if I was peckish I'd raid the cupboards but now I just have a glass and I'm full.
Believe me when I say I wasn't the kind of girl who was into juicing; one because I always thought the juices people made sounded hideous, and two because I'm just too lazy for that! If you have the time, even over the weekend, get some fruit and make your own, I promise it'll be a hundred times more refreshing and satisfying than any shop bought alternative.
Have you tried making your own juice? What's your favourite recipe?
If you found this helpful or even want to make your own since reading this let me know I would love to hear.
