Mini make up bag

Lets be honest there's no point in spending ages putting your make up on making it look perfect for the day only to have it melt away before you've even got to lunch time. This is where our mini make up bag comes in handy; don't pretend you don't have one, it's the bag inside your bag that hold every item you'll need to keep your face in place all day.

My bag itself is actually from Boots and I totally adore it, I really wish I'd picked up the other sizes because I think it gets the right balance between pink and girly without being too childish. It's the perfect size to hold a lot of make up for the day but not too much that you'll have the kitchen sink effect and literally bring you're entire make up for that day. I actually change up my bag pretty regularly but when it comes to powder lately it has been a combo of both the Revlon's Nearly Naked offering which keeps the coverage on my chin up. Bet you never thought you'd be reading that! There is something seriously wrong with my chin because make up literally dissolves from it however, the Nearly Naked powder has enough coverage to keep that up whilst somehow never looking cakey no matter how many times I touch up. When my skin is looking a bit lacklustre there is only one thing a girl will need; the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. I have the shade defused light and as much as it is an extravagance it's certainly worth it for how it keeps that glow in your skin. We all know if you have powder you'll need a brush and I used to hate having to put brushes in my bag because I was worried about germs. Then when wandering through boots I noticed the Eco Tools Retractable Kabuki brush and instantly snapped it up, it's small enough to fit nicely whilst the brush itself is the perfect density for a bit of precision powdering. It' a bit of a faff to clean because it takes forever to dry but generally it's ideal. When it comes to lashes I'm currently debating whether to get the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers because mine never keep a curl, ever. There is one thing that helps keep the volume up during the day though and that's an extra coat of the Chanel's Volume De Chanel Mascara. I have no idea how I got this sample I think it came with another purchase from Boots however, it's meant I've now brought the full size I love it that much.

Then comes the lip products, I'm sure all us beauty lovers have the same problem, the lippie's go in but they never come back out until a month down the line when you have a clear out and find about 10 lip products in there. Although now is where I should confess that at any 1 time I always have 5 products on me, a lot I know but I have my reasons. I always have a bright lippie on me which comes in the form of the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick which I think is in Coral Incandescent (I can't read the label any more) although it was supposed to be Pink in Paris. It's too much in winter straight from the bullet however, tapped on from the finger it gives a lovely flush of colour. My budget lipstick is the Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle, the perfectly slightly darker version of my lips that glides on beautifully and leaves the lips feeling moisturised. Higher end is Mac Patisserie, the your lips but better no need for a mirror lippy every girl should have in their stash. The 90s child in me means I'll never not love a glossy lip and for that there is only one thing the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick. I have the shade Nudist because I'm a nude lip lover if you haven't already guessed, adds a lovely amount of colour to stop me looking dead and a shed load of shine.

Something I keep in my beauty bag that most don't is my antibacterial hand gels, why on earth? I hear you ask, well I have the gloriously scented Bath and Bodyworks offerings. As much as my heart belongs in London and I love having an NHS it often makes me sad that I don't live in the US of A simply for Bath and Bodyworks. I've actually brought a few in my time but my favourites are Vanilla Cupcake & Cinnamon Buns (although I doubt this'll work in summer.) I've used a few sellers before but if you're interested in getting them I use this seller who gives free postage and got them to me within 48 hours, impressive! I also have the mini size of Soap and Glory's Hand Food to keep my hands hydrated as they can become very dry very quickly which is never nice. This is actually my favourite hand cream, I have the full size and even brought the wash and hand food duo for when I finally move into my flat. For £2.50 for the mini if you somehow haven't try it you can't pass it up even if it's just for the sake of your hands smelling like marshmallowy goodness.

There you have it, my streamlined make up bag perfect for taking with me everywhere, what do you have in your mini make up bag?
